ACOSE
Task
Branding
Although the ACOSE logo was pre-existing, I was responsible for creating the full brand system around it. This included editable agendas, directional signage, social media templates, Marketing Flyer, and the complete brand guideline document. These materials were designed to ensure consistent visual communication across both print and digital platforms, while reflecting the mission of ACOSE to promote social enterprise throughout the Appalachian region.
One of the key challenges was designing assets that could be reused beyond the 2025 conference. I was asked to ensure that certain printed materials—like directional signage—would remain relevant for future years. In addition, the client specifically requested templates that were fully editable by their internal team without needing further design support. Balancing long-term flexibility, clarity, and visual consistency across multiple formats required careful structuring and a highly intentional design approach.
This project offered a rewarding opportunity to build a practical, real-world design system grounded in both strategy and aesthetics. It was a valuable experience in creating communication materials that serve both the present and the future.

The project began with a review of the conference’s goals and the existing logo. From there, I developed a modular design system that could be scaled and reused annually. Each component was created with editability in mind. The brand guidelines were then assembled to document usage rules, logo specifications, and applications, providing a clear and usable toolkit for the ACOSE team moving forward.
