Design Challenges

We were tasked by the Athens County Food Pantry to create a new logo to replace their existing logo. They wanted to move away from their current text heavy logo to something illustrated and rememberable. One thing they emphasized was wanted to show community and that they wanted to display coming together and serving the community, rather than giving handouts to help reduce the stigma of going to a food pantry.

Below are some early iterations along with the final design our team came up with at the end.

⬤ 02. Experience

Finding Font and Color

After finalizing the Illustration, we had to select a font and color palette that the client resonated with and that fit their ideal image.

The images below show examples of early concepts and styles that were explored by the design team. After several rounds of redesigns based on client feedback, we were able to create a compelling design which fit the client’s identity.

⬤ 03. Process

Testing and finalizing

After meeting with the client over several weeks we finally landed on a font and color palette. Then after some minor tweaks to the design we were able to come up with a final design and test how it would look in the real world.
